Donating to podcasts is more essential than ever. We think podcasting is one of the greatest entertainment revolutions of the last decade. It's a space completely free of onerous regulations and out-of-touch business practices, where creators can have total control over their shows. But the only way that kind of environment can continue is with listener support.
So please donate to Feral Audio, it keeps the podcasts free and the staff fed.
Feral Audio is a podcast collective and art co-operative based in Los Angeles, CA, with volunteers all across North America. The majority of Feral Audio original programming is recorded in Los Angeles at Feral Audio Studios. At Feral, artists own every aspect of their shows, benefit directly from all forms of listener support and are free from any kind of onerous or stifling “oversight”.
We pride ourselves on this environment and our model of full transparency and equity. In fact, we love it so much that we want to spread it around! Feel free to adopt the Feral model (described below) and start your own collective. We’d love to see dozens of our kind of co-operative network spring up around the world!
Feral sustains itself on a month-to-month basis, much like a community radio station. Your support enables us to keep going. Donate to your favorite shows by using the Donate buttons featured on the site.
Feral Audio's artists own all of their work, and any money contributed to a Feral Audio podcast is shared in the exact same way: 80/15/5
80% of the money that comes into Feral goes to our artists, because nobody pays to see an empty stage.
15% of the money goes to our producer and trickles down to our volunteers. Their expertise and tireless efforts enable the artists directly, and help new listeners find Feral.
5% of the money goes to our web developer, to ensure that Feral's web presence is rigorously maintained and improved whenever possible.
FOUNDER/PRODUCER
Hi! I am Dustin Marshall, Founder and Producer of FeralAudio.com. I hail from from Madison, WI where I got my degree in Electronics Engineering and volunteered at WORT 89.9 FM under my mentor Rockin' John McDonlad. In 2011, I came to Los Angeles, CA as an Engineer for Earwolf.com and assisted the legendary podcast "The Lavender Hour". After 10 months with Earwolf I founded this podcast collective that ran less like a television network and more like an art gallery, idealizing the artists contribution more than the producers.
I am the producer of the breakout Harmontown podcast with Dan Harmon and Jeff Davis; an editor on the Ram Dass "Here and Now" podcast and an audio editor for PUNY Entertainment. Occasionally you'll hear my weird music under the alias "Dustin Martian". Podcasting is the most subversive art movement of my lifetime and I intend to push it as far as it can go.
Thank you for visiting our site and please explore the pages of the many volunteers who help make this idea a reality.
WEB DEVELOPER
I'm Stig! I designed & built the original Feral site, and along with PUNY helped build this new incarnation of Feral. Next to Dustin I'm probably the guy who looks at the website the most, since I have to keep it up and running.
I've worked on a lot of the same projects as Dustin (Lavender Hour, DTFH, Ram Dass Here and Now), which is how we met. I've also probably built a website for a comedian or podcast you know (Natasha Leggero, Eddie Pepitone, Never Not Funny, The Mental Illness Happy Hour, etc.).
I love podcasting, and believe that if you can't do what you love you should do what you can to enable it. That's why I'm here. That's also why I keep Kickstarting fancy candy bars.
You can find me on Twitter @chromadile, I also have a website that updates every red tide.
DESIGN TEAM
PUNY is an Interactive Design Group of illustrators, designers and programmers more notably known for their work on Yo Gabba Gabba, MAD TV and many commercials. Founded by Shad Petosky and based out of Minneapolis and L.A, PUNY artists Nick Bachman and Jeremy Sengly originally donated their skills for the cover art on our podcasts. Shortly after launching Feral, PUNY Entertainment took Feral Audio into its L.A office, giving us our own studio and equipment. Other PUNY artists contribute their talents as well, including the brilliant Dave Hagen who designed the website you are currently looking it.
Without PUNY, there is no Feral Audio.
HOUSE BAND
Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, The Fancy are the house band of Feral Audio and the love child of Seth Garrison and Clara Latham. You can hear their music on Weird Adults, The Festival Of Friendship and our incredible Feral Outro Tag. Not only do they have a prolific body of work (WeAreFancy.net), they are hilarious to boot. Their web series 'Muscle Top' is one of their many contributions to Feral and they define our sound.
Witty, compelling, dynamic and beautiful, The Fancy are one of the most incredible active bands on the planet. 'The Fancy EP' is a compelling work of music and their upcoming album DON'T WAIT UP is sure to perk up some ears.

ADVISOR/APP DEVELOPER
Shahruz is an iOS developer. He built the upcoming Feral Audio app for iPhone, and acts as an advisor for the collective. He helped establish our website and helps shape the aesthetic on almost every aspect of Feral Audio.
Shahruz served as the Director of Technology at Earwolf Media for two years, before leaving to work on other projects. He co-founded the creative firm Fountain, and is currently developing apps, websites, and experiences alongside the team there.
You shouldn't follow him on Twitter at @shahruz_.
MEDIA HOST
Castmate.FM is an incredible alternative to Libsyn and the easiest way to host and upload podcasts. Castmate hosts all of Feral Audio's shows for free, and donates their bandwidth and services to make our distribution possible.
There is no way around it, Castmate.fm is the easiest platform for you to host your podcast while freeing you of the "bottom line" tricks that Libsyn and other hosting services may try and limit your podcast under. Want to podcast? Sign up today! It's free and easy and the only hosting service we use.
SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM
Hey, I'm Walt, social media guy here at FeralAudio.com. If you follow our tumblr, Facebook, or Twitter, chances are you've seen some of my work. Dustin found me when I started a fan site for the Who Charted? podcast and pulled me into the Earwolf fold. I am a huge supporter of podcasts, specifically comedy ones, so it felt only natural to come to Feral Audio.
I'm part of Feral East Coast, as I live in New Jersey and have a 9-5 job but require the excitement and creativity only this work has to offer to fill the rest of my time. I've created, run, and helped promote websites for around 14 years. When not listening to podcasts I'm either reading about history, playing video games, or building Halloween props.
